Update!

Posted by Al on May 20th, 2008

Oh, what?! It’s been 6 months since the last update! It’s been busy for Jenn and I. We moved out of our Rancho Cucamonga apartment at the end of December. That was fun. Yeah, not really. We moved in with my cousin for a couple months because our home was still under construction. That’s right, we bought a house. We’re living in Menifee now, just moved-in in March. A little town north of Temecula and Murrieta off the 15 and 215 freeways. The horses and chicken say hello. Yeah, it’s a bit rural, but it’s really nice. You can hear the coyotes and lots of frogs at night. At least we have a mall and typical commercial areas within 15 minutes.

Anyhow, with the move, updating our site had taken a back seat. Sorry that meant no updates for a while. In any case, we should be able to get back to keeping you (yeah, you) updated!

Improv Everywhere

Posted by Al on Nov 3rd, 2007

Jenn and I hope to visit New York some time. Maybe we’ll plan our trip around the next group prank organized by Improv Everywhere. They have performed some pretty great pranks in the past six years. Check out the link and the following videos to get an idea of what this is.

Batch #2 - Irish Red

Posted by Al on Sep 28th, 2007

For those who don’t know, I am experimenting in the art of fermentation. Beer, that is. The first batch I made was in July and it was a Pale Ale. The lucky few who sampled it gave the Pale Ale a thumbs up. This has encouraged me to keep up what is a new hobby for me.

Our next batch is an Irish Red. “Our” being myself and Ash, my friend from work. We get our supplies from More Beer!, and we go in person to the Riverside location. We just finished putting our “wort” in the carboy, and it looks like our beer will be 4% alcohol when it is finished. It will take about one more month for the beer to be ready, so check out pictures from our second batch preparation.

All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Snow…board

Posted by Al on Feb 18th, 2007

Disappointing. That’s all I got to say. We finally made it up to the mountain this season and they SOLD OUT of lift tickets. Sold out? I didn’t even know that happens. I mean, I guess it’s understandable. To make a positive out of this, we had lunch and watched the other people have fun. Yeah. Then we went and bought our full day tickets for March 10. I will have at least one session this season.

Quick Update

Posted by Al on Feb 13th, 2007

Hey everyone! Just wanted to send a quick update for those interested.

Jenn and I have been working hard and the hours have been rough. Well, for Jenn anyways. She’s been pulling 12 hour days and then 24-hour days on the weekends twice a month. These could be either Saturdays or Sundays. Way too many hours, but I guess the medical industry abuses their Residents. I feel pretty bad for her, but she’s strong willed and can get through this. Engineering is a cake walk compared to what all you medical people have to do at the beginning. But I’ll never admit that in person.

Sebastian (our dancing turtle) moved up with us recently. Here he is in his new dig. Sierra may be joining us in the RC next month since she will be receiving her last vaccine for rabies. Yay, we got a turtle and a dog. That equals a kid, right?

In other news, we will FINALLY head up to the mountain this Sunday. Not sure which one yet, but I’m definitely getting my carving on! I can’t wait.

We had a little mishap with the wedding pictures, so I should get that sorted shortly. Stay tuned!

Albert and his Bit#hes

Posted by Al on Jan 14th, 2007

I know what you’re thinking. I’m talking about dogs of course! Albert Guevarra stopped by to visit the puppies. It’s the puppies’ first visit from another dog friend!  Albert is a beagle of course, and I’m still bothered by dog’s wearing clothing.  Shiver, the horror.

Chaos ensued.

In case you’re wondering, Pepper, the black and white puppy, is my mom’s. Evie, the larger white and tan puppy, is JoAnne’s.

Happy New Year!!!

Posted by Jenn on Jan 2nd, 2007

It’s definitely a new year for Al and I…We’re slowly moving into our new place in Rancho Cucamonga. I’m starting a new job at a hospital in San Bernardino next week. Al’s starting his new job with an engineering firm in Ontario on the 15th. He’s looking forward to his week off before the new job.

Sebastian Close Up

Sebastian will be moving up with us as well. He’s also getting a new tank (probably 50 gallon) because he’s getting too big. He’s a monster when it comes to food!

Al & Puppies

Unfortunately, Sierra will be staying in San Diego with Al’s mom, for now. She needs to be potty trained first. We’re hoping to get her, at most, after a year. At least, she’ll still be with her sisters in the meantime.

If you’re in the area, give us a call!!!

Welcome Sierra!

Jenn and I got our first dog! I say first cuz we have been planning on getting a medium to large sized dog for a while now. But when my Aunt Veronica’s dog Weena had puppies, we just couldn’t resist. Look how cute she is! She’s 3/4 poodle and 1/4 terrier and 100% loveable. We named her Sierra.

We’ve had her a week and boy is it a lot of work. It’s been a while since either of us have had a dog, so it’s like learning from scratch again. We’ll post up more pictures soon in the gallery.
